V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and student-friendly environment. In accordance with the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2019 and the statutes and ordinances of Goa University, the Institute has constituted a Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) to address and resolve student grievances in a timely and impartial manner.
The SGRC provides students a formal mechanism to raise concerns related to academic, administrative, examination, fees, or other institutional matters.
Students are advised to follow the above sequence while seeking grievance redressal.
As per the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2019, a student shall first submit his/her grievance to the VMSIIHE Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) for resolution. The Committee shall examine the grievance received and ensure that appropriate action is taken.
If a student is not satisfied with the decision of the SGRC, or if no resolution is provided within a period fifteen working days, the grievance may be escalated to the University who shall deal with the grievance as per procedure set out in Goa University Statute SA-35, as communicated in Goa University Circular dated 31.05.2023.
