International opportunities

Higher study pathway
VMSIIHE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with César Ritz Colleges Switzerland. This allows students who have completed the Bachelor’s program to progress towards higher studies in Master of Arts Hospitality & Tourism Entrepreneurship, a Master of Arts in Culinary Business Management & a Swiss Grand Diploma in Pastry and Chocolate Arts.
Exchange programme
V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education has tied up with Turismo de Portugal for a “Collaborative International Training and Education Programme”. This is a four-week specialised programme focusing on training students and mentoring teachers after which, participating students and teachers receive a certificate of training.
Industry internship
V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), has partnered with Martinhal Family Hotels and Resorts a Portugal based hospitality brand, to provide internship opportunities to students of the institute.
The protocol aims to provide and increase the interaction between hotel industry experts and the institute. Having four luxurious properties, two each in Algarve and Lisbon, the institute has signed an agreement with the group which is mutually beneficial. The students are provided with accommodation, meals, laundry facilities, and on-the-job training along with a stipend.
This international exposure gives students a better understanding about global work culture. They get a chance to bring in new ideas, positive energy, freshness in the team they work with, and chances of enhancing their professional career.
Global academic community
ICHRIE is an international organization representing members from almost all continents. There is international representation in the organization’s governance structure and governing bodies.
Affiliation
The affiliation with Goa University assures that students will have an opportunity to participate in research and other academic programs in Goa. It also adds credibility to the degree and awarded by V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education. Goa University is widely recognized by employers and other educational institutes across the country and around the world.
Industry support
The promoters are associated with Marriott International Inc. having set up the first Marriott property in India. Marriott has assured VMSIIHE full support, regular inputs which will be incorporated in the Institute’s curriculum, the arrangement of special guest lectures, demo sessions, training programs, and help in placements of students, assisting VMSIIHE in becoming the Top hotel management institute in Goa.
